I AM DON QUIXOTE DE LA MANCHA opens the Almagro Theater Festival
Last Thursday, July 5, 2012, the play “I am Don Quixote de La Mancha”, a Cervantes’ text adaptation, written by José Ramón Fernández (2011 National Dramatic Literatura Award’s winner), was premiered at the Old Renaissance University. This inaugurated the 35th International Clasical Theatre Festival, Almagro (Ciudad Real). The play, directed by Luis Bermejo, features JOSÉ SACRISTÁN as Don Quixote, FERNANDO SOTO as Sancho and ALMUDENA RAMOS in the role of Sanchica, as well as the music composed by Ramiro Obedman and performed by cellist José Luis López.
