After being shown at ESPACIO 36 Art GALLERY , in Zamora and at PICASO Hall in Burgos, Arturo AMEZ and Javier AOIZ ORDUNA move the exhibition entitled DOS EN SINGULAR (TWO IN SINGULAR), to the JOSÉ LAPAYESE Exhibition Hall, in Calamocha (Teruel).
Now, the exhibition shows a total of seventeen sculptures and twenty-two paintings. Moroccan Kasbahs, New York, Zamora, Madrid, Cádiz or Peñíscola, are complemented with some nods to the town of Calamocha, with its parish church and the Roman bridge as motifs in five of these paintings. A collection of naked urban landscapes, luminous and empty of people, accompanied by still lifes with fruit, pots and pans and tables laid out for breakfast, along with galactic animals, mermaids, Olympic dreams, ashen women and matrioshkas of concrete, greenish bronze, glass, marble or steel in Arturo AMEZ‘s sculptures, which contrast in their rotundity with the luminous chromatism of Javier AOIZ ORDUNA‘s canvases. Both celebrate each other and like to share the space to evoke the happy event of this new meeting of painting and sculpture.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on Thursday 7 December at 19:30, with the presence of the artists, and can be enjoyed until 26 January 2024, during opening hours.
