A historical novel: The Genoa’s Dyer

Javier Aoiz Orduna’s artwork entitled “FORTALEZA DEL SOL II” (2008, acrylic on canvas, 100×100 cm), has been chosen for the cover of the latest book by the Murcian writer Salvador García Jiménez, entitled “The Genoa’s Dyer”.

It is a historical novel, set in medieval Lorca, in which the life of some real characters (Don Alonso Fajardo el Bravo, warden of the so-called “Watchtower of the Sun”, and his daughter Doña Blanca), are interwoven with a fictional character: the Genoese dyer Thomaso Donati.

The publishing profits of this novel will be destined to the earthquake victims in Lorca, 2011.
