From Friday 19th September I return to the ESPACIO 36 – ÁNGEL ALMEIDA art Gallery, in the city of Zamora, with my new solo exhibition entitled CELEBRATION, in which I will be exhibiting some of my recent paintings.
I return to this beloved gallery with a total of thirty-six paintings, after three years since my previous exhibition here. And I do it, precisely, on my birthday, hence its title. And also for the joy it gives me to return to this gallery and to this beautiful city on this day. It is a perfect excuse to celebrate life surrounded by friends and family. When Ángel Almeida proposed this solo exhibition to me, I thought that the nine cathedrals of Castile-Leon would be the central axis of the exhibition. Some of them, moreover, in large format, coexist with gardens, floral spaces, urban landscapes and still lifes to form a group of works in which colour is the predominant feature. Joy and painting as a small refuge in which to rest in this troubled and convulsive contemporary world.
This exhibition, which will be inaugurated on Friday 19 September at 7:30 p.m. and will feature a live performance by ALGORA, will be open to the public until 4 October 2025.
